The introduction of Maruti Suzuki concept car- Maruti A Star- has earned great reviews and everyone is raving about it. Launched in month of October in India, it is rolled out from its Manesar plant in Gurgaon.

The all new A star has eye-catching style and easy mobility with high fuel efficiency. It is compact and downsized which provides ample interior roominess and comfort. The Maruti A- Star car has a hatchback model that is designed keeping the demands of global markets in mind.

The Maruti A- Star comes at a price of Rs 3.85 lakh and will is currently available in three different variants - Lxi, Vxi, and Zxi. The Maruti A-Star has a 3-cylinder, 12 valve MPFI unit that generates 67 PS of peak power at 6200rpm and 90Nm of torque at 3500rpm.

The all new A-star is loaded with dynamic features which makes its stand tall from the rest of the crowd. The latest model of Maruti A-star Star has 1.0 litre K-series engine. It has 205/47 R17 tyres and 5 speed manual transmission with a 2360mm wheelbase, length 3580mm, breadth 1680mm and height 1400mm. Maruti Suzuki's new model is powered with 1.0 litre petrol engine for its gasoline driven cars which ensures low friction and plentiful flat torque delivery at low and mid-range speeds which ensures good drivability. There's also Euro IV and Euro V compliant that lends A-Star an added advantage.

The high light of the Maruti A Star is its K-engine that is placed under the hood of Maruti. This new 1.0L, 3 cylinder unit develops a maximum power output of 48kW (65hp) powers the A-star. This 1.0L enables the car to run longer distance in just 1 liter. The car's engine has a five speed transmission. This four-cylinder 16-valve K-engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 63kW (86hp).

The striking similarity of Maruti Suzuki A-Star with its rival Hyundai i10 has stirred competition between the cars in the same segment with fuel efficient engines. If on one hand the Hyundai's i10 prominent features include the low slung grille, the prominent strip housing a number plate and the flame shaped headlamps, then on the other hand, a vertical A-pillar, a bulged out appearance and inverted C-pillar are the trademark of the A-star. The A-Star car is specially designed keeping in mind demands of European buyers which seek more eco-friendly car models.
